Helen Lovell Lane

Helen Lovell Lane, 66, was born August 5, 1955. She went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Lovell; sons, Curtis E. and Carol D Lovell; parents, Carl and Ruth Brown; sisters and brothers, Carlos, Gillis, Sally, Margaret, Roy and Billie; and stepson, Mike Lovell.
She is survived by husband, James “Monkey” Lane; daughter, Renee Lovell Swagger; grandchildren, Rebecca (John) Lovell, Brian Lovell and Chris (Becca) Lovell; daughter-in-law, Lydia (James) Lovell; adopted son, Arturo Hernandez; sisters and brothers-in-law, Paulin and Larry Cupp, Judy and Howard Carter and Delores Brown, all of Morristown, Linda Barker and Carolyn Brown of White Pine, Jackie and Barbara Brown of Strawberry Plains, and Tom and Shirley Brown of Talbott; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-laws; special friends, Donald Allen and Carol Combs; and special singers, Dustin Green and Cody Lamb.
The family will receive friends 6 – 7 p.m., Sunday, August 15 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

George, Ed “Pill” Schoenfeld

George, Ed “Pill” Schoenfeld, of Bean Station, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1930 in Massillon, Ohio to Harry and Anna Schoenfeld. He entered the service of his country in 1948 and served five years in the Army Air Force and was a part of the American forces in the Korean War. Following his military service he lived with his late wife, Evelyn Correa Schoenfeld, and their three children, Linda, Eddie and Steve, in the Tampa, Florida area for 43 years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union 115 based out of Tampa, from which he retired in 1993.
Ed loved traveling and fishing was his real passion. He even dabbled, a little, at gold prospecting, which his son-in-law, Jerry Holacka, got him into as a member of Lost Dutchman Mining Association. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW and a longtime member of the Moose, both in Morristown. He and his current wife, Billie, lived in the Bean Station area since 2000 and dearly enjoyed the lakes and the friendships that have developed here. He currently attended Bethel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Correa Schoenfeld; his son, Eddie Schoenfeld; his siblings, Maria Specogna, Harry “Bud” Schoenfeld, Charles “Chick” Schoenfeld, Anna Radabaugh, Paul Schoenfeld and Cliff Schoenfeld; and one granddaughter; and son-in-law, Jerry Holacka.
He will be missed greatly by all who knew him, especially his children, Linda Holacka and Steve (Patti) Schoenfeld, six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy (Gail) Schoenfeld and Gretchen Heffner; and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 13 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 703 North Cumberland St.

Lawrence E. Caldwell

Lawrence E. Caldwell, 90, was born May 22, 1931 to his late parents Charlie and Bessie Caldwell. He was called to his heavenly home Friday, August 6, 2021 and was welcomed through the gates by his sisters, Leloa, Hazel and Katherine; and his children, Eugina and “Bud” Walter.
He retired from Rogersville Water Department after 41-and-a-half years of service. Lawrence loved his community. His favorite things were being with his family and friends. Mostly he loved singing gospel, which he did with many quartet groups. He was well known for his bass song, “Roll, Jordan, Roll.”
Leaving behind to cherish his memories his wife of 64 years, Regina; his children, Gloria, Edward (Faye), Kristie, Terry, Jerry and Michael Hale; his grandchildren, Tyrone (Michaela), Nakia (Shon), Shamia, Xavier, Jaleesa (Keller) Courtney, Anna Rose, Chris and Julie; his five great-grands, Lylah, Desirrea, Jeremiah, Gracelyn and Da’rrell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give thanks to UT Home Health Care, and Drs. Michael and Gupta.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 14 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
