Billy Luther Carson Simpson

His body was tired, and his heart was weak; but God found a place for him to rest! 

Billy was born August 4, 1950. His parents were Cliff and Bertha (Rogers) Simpson of Rogersville, TN. He was born and raised in Morristown, TN. The angels were entrusted to care for him and carried him away from this world. They took him to the land of “no more suffering and pain.” 

Billy was preceded in death by his parents: Cliff and Bertha (Rogers) Simpson, Stepfather: Lewis Rogers, Sister: Shirley Allen, Brother-in-law: Hugh Allen, nieces: Debbie Jones and Renea Simpson, and Stepson: Brandon Davis. 

He attended Morristown-Hamblen High School West. He leaves to cherish memories of his wife April Simpson, Stepson: Zack (Brittany) Davis, Son: Billy (Little Billy) MacKentosh of Morristown, TN, Three Daughters: Shanan (Kenta) Morrison, Tyna Simpson, and Latasha of all who resides in Winston-Salem, NC. Three Brothers: Johnny (Mary) Fanny, George Simpson, and Walter Simpson of Morriston, TN. Six Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to a special niece Erica (Mark) Griffith.

Jerome Spencer Osborne

Jerome Spencer Osborne also known as Buff passed away peacefully in his home on July 28th, 2021 in Morristown, TN. He was born and raised in Knoxville, TN to Jewel Wilson-Nolan and Herbert Osborne who he was preceded in death by. He was also preceded in death by his older brother Calvin Wilson and uncle Edward Wilson. 

 

Jerome was a loving son, uncle, brother and father figure to many. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Jerome was fascinated with cars and he loved himself a Cadillac. He was fortunate to be able to own a few of them throughout his time on earth. He attended Austin East high where he graduated in 1986. He worked at Goodwill for over 20 years as a sorter.

 

He is survived by his brother Tony Ward, sister in law Lisa Ward and devoted nephew Keshaun Kyle. His devoted friend Regina Manuel, step-daughter Seqouyah Houston and step-grandson Adrian. His devoted neices Shakima Kyle, Shantora Wilson (little Michael), Cassidy Wilson and Dreama Wilson (little Josiah and Blaze). Devoted cousin's Marion Johnson and Denise Dalton. Devoted church family at Tony's Chapel and Sister Jane Buis. Also, the Murriel, Dalton, Wilson, Osborne, Rucker family and too many more to name.


Receiving of Family and Friends will be Aug 10, 2021  6 - 7 pm with Service to start at 7:00 pm at

Willetta Winton

Willetta Winton was born July 27, 1965. Her physical life came to an end Wednesday, July 28, 2021 after battling cancer for two months.


Willetta was welcomed into the home of William and Maxie Yeary Winton at the age of 23 months. She was educated in the Knoxville school system, and enjoyed many activities the school offered. Early in life, Willetta accepted Christ, and was baptized by her grandfather, Rev. Lester Yeary. She was loved by all of her family, and she loved to visit in her relative’s homes.


After her teenage years, Willetta moved around quite a bit, finally settling down in the Nashville area. She was employed by Hallmark Card Company, working in different stores stocking cards until experiencing illness.


Willetta was preceded in death by son, Tony; daughter, Rameria; parents, William Winton, James and Maxie Chandler; and grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Lester Yeary.


Willetta will be remember by her daughter, Lindsey; the Yearys, Blevins, Smiths, Chandlers, Wintons and friends.


The family will receive friends 5 – 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 4 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. burial will immediately follow the service at Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg.
