James “Pop Pop” Uncle Bo Moore

by DFH Inc. on 09/18/20

He was known by many names such as “Pop-Pop,” “Uncle Bo” and “Bo,” but whatever you knew him as, you knew he was loving, giving, hard-working, and full of joy. If you knew Bo, you knew he could fix anything and everything, and literally worked until his last days.

Bo’s biggest focus in life was his family. He absolutely adored all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was present at every life event possible and showed up with the biggest hug and a smile. He made sure that his family always knew that they were loved.

He has left to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 61 years, Kathryn Moore; his sisters, Olivia “Auntie” Goins and Geneva (Eddie) Guthrie; brother, Billy (Betty) Wayney; daughter, Renea (Frank) Houston; sons Rodney, Rufus (Kellie) and James Russell (Summer) Moore; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m., Friday, September 18 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens
