Tanya M. Herrington

Tanya M. Herrington, age 48 of Newport, Tennessee passed away May 2, 2021 at Tennova Hospital at Turkey Creek. Tanya was preceded in death by her father, Mack Boswell Jr.
She is survived by her mother Gloria, Stepfather; Edward E. Ray of Dandridge, Tennessee. Brothers; Thomas J. Ray of Greeneville, TN, Timothy V. Ray of Dandridge, TN. Uncle; Logan (Teresa) Easterly of Dandridge, Tn. Aunts; Gwendolyn Davis of Jefferson City, TN, Rosie K. Cuberson of Dandridge, TN.
Several nieces and nephews, a host of family & friends.
Tanya was a member of Belmont AME Zion Church, Pastor Donna Branner.
The Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation Services provided by Dockery - Senter Funeral Home.
Mae Stewart Long, “Sugar”

Mae accepted
Christ at an early age and she was a member of Lawrence United Presbyterian
Church. She will be remembered for her love and faith in God. Mae
was employed by the late Senator Herbert S. (Sarah) Walters, West High
School, Holiday Inn, and Ramada Inn.
“Sugar”
was happiest when she was welcoming family and friends to the Long home for
food, fun, fellowship, and a glass of cold sweet iced tea. She always had
a listening ear to those who needed it along with a hug, smile, and
laughter. She called her home “The Long’s Hotel” always full of
hospitality for all who visited.
“Sugar and
Daddy June” left a legacy of nine beautiful grandchildren, eighteen
great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren to cherish along with
several wonderful devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends of the family
to love and adore.
Internment at Rock of Ages Cemetery, Thursday, April 29, 2021. Private Graveside services will be held at noon by Dockery-Senter Funeral Home Inc.
Hildred Jean “Jeanie” Porter

Hildred Jean “Jeanie” Porter departed this life and gained her
heavenly wings on April 19, 2021 surrounded by her family in Morristown. She
was born on July 12, 1947 in Morristown, Tennessee to Joseph Porter and Pearl
Garrett Porter.
Jeanie dedicated her life to
service, devoting her love to the many that she encountered. She was a
Certified Nursing Assistant and served as a housekeeper and caretaker for many
years, even devoting her life to care for her mother Pearl Porter. Even through
her relocation to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2006, she continued to serve and
care for others.
She was a watch-care member of
Abundant Life Church under the leadership of Pastor James H. Goins, Sr. Above
all, she loved the Lord and reflected her devotion through her love for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law: Tammy Porter; and nephew: Joseph Porter, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her
memories her two greatest treasures, her children: Ulinda “Puddin” Fugate and
Maurice (partner Ginger Harrell) Young; lifetime partner, Robert Young;
siblings: Mary Ruth Cox Isom, Joseph “Bubbie” Porter, and devoted sister &
brother-in-law, Carolyn (Ernest) Bewley; and a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends too numerous to name.
