Don Leeper

Don Leeper, 67, passed away Monday, Oct. 27.

Leeper, of Churchill, was preceded in death by his parents,  Carl and Lucille Leeper, five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by daughter, Tasha Leeper; son, Chris Leeper; significant other, Betty Thompson and special friends, Sanford and Chris Cuberson, Bucky Parkey, Leroy and Bo Austin, and Brandon Waddell.

Services will be Thursday, Oct. 28 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home 5 p.m. -6 p.m.

Joneka Danielle Cuadras Treece

Joneka Danielle Cuadras Treece, 41, departed this life on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL.  She was born on January 7, 1980 in Morristown, TN to Bruno and Gail Cuadras. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Earl and Pansy Short, Raymond and Angela Cuadras, uncles Bobby Short and Johnny Cuadras, and special cousin Vanessa D. Cuadras Thompson.

Joneka leaves to cherish her memory, parents Gail Cuadras and Bruno (Althea) Cuadras; sons Alex (Mariah) McLain, Isaiah (Mekhila) McLain, Nassiah Treece, and Christyan Chaffin; granddaughter Gracelyn McLain and grandson ZaeKoby McLain; one sister Maranda Cuadras, one brother Brandon Cuadras, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

‘BUDDY’

Leroy Gale “Buddy” Goins Sr. departed this life Friday, October 15, 2021 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

He was born January 11, 1937 to the union of Ralph and Bessie Tucker Goins in Tazewell. Leroy retired from Berkline Corporation after 30-plus years, where he worked as a machine operator and then promoted to a supervisor. Leroy also served in the United States Arms and was a retired veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and baby son, Preston Eugene Goins.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 60 years, Katherine “Kat” Goins; daughter, Debra “Cookie” Wilker; son, Leroy Gale Goins Jr. (Steven Wells); and daughter, Teresa “Tesa” Ewing, all of Morristown; sister, Pauline “Polly” (Lacy) Tate, of Morristown; niece, Paula (Sandy) Tate-Morman of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren with whom he had a special bond with each; 21 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; special grandson, Ivan Acosta; special friend; Yvone Simpson; along with a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m., Thursday, October 21 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment immediately follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens.

The family requests masks be worn at all time during the service.
