William Henry "Chuck" Lyons, Jr. 65, of 1528 Jones Street, Morristown, Tennessee departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee after a lingering illness.
Chuck, as he was fondly known was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee to the late William Henry and Nevia Jane Price Lyons, Sr. on August 29, 1950.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Albert and Mildred Wilson; brothers-in-law Harrison and Jimmy Greenlee and Walt Wilson.
Chuck leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 42 years Albertine Greenlee Lyons; son Freddie; daughters Quenna, Deana and Choquita; four grandchildren Quentin, Raneika, Sierra (whom he raised as a daughter) and Tori; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Camryn all of Morristown, TN; five sisters Jane Marie (Nathaniel) Robinson of VA, Brenda Kay Simon of CA, Linda Fay Hale of TN, Sharon Prater of GA, and Briggette (Nicol) Woodard of NC; brother Clark (Eva) Lyons of TN; four sister-in-law Marva (Johnny) Brown of Baltimore, MD, Dr. Jacqueine Gray of Salisbury, NC, Juanita Wilson and Debra (Jeff) Bruce both of Morristown. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Dockery Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Dockery Funeral Home with Rev. H. Roger Mills, Jr., Rev. Pamela Hoard, Elder Ventrus Norfolk and Elder J.W. Dukes officiating.
Mr. Lyons will be laid to rest in the Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown with full military service.
