Shirley Allen, age 65, of Morristown,
went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Laurel Manor
Healthcare in New Tazewell. She was a
member of Toney’s Chapel Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband
Hugh Allen and daughter Debbie Jones. She is survived by her children:
Erica Allen, Steve (Christy) Jones and Marvin (Sherry) Jones; stepsons: Dewayne
Jackson and Chris Shelton; adopted daughter: Shelia (James) Penn; brothers:
George, Billy and Walter D. Simpson and Johnny (Mary) Fanney, all of
Morristown; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and special friends Peggy
Lepper and Reggie Donaldson. The family will receive friends on
Monday, November 3, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dockery Funeral Home, with
the funeral service following at 7 p.m. Interment
will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rock of Ages Cemetery.
