Patricia Flagg, age 65, affectionately known as “Pat”, was
born February 27, 1950 in Bulls Gap, TN.
She departed this life on May 12, 2015 at Physicians Regional Medical
Center in Knoxville, TN.
Patricia D. Scruggs Lee Flagg was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as part of the Kitchen Ministry there as her health permitted. She loved to cook and prepare meals for others. She also attended New Zion Faith Center in Johnson City, TN on occasion to worship with her son.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, James E. and Carolyn Z. (Payne) Scruggs; three brothers: James A. Scruggs, Bobby G. Scruggs and Jimmy L. Scruggs; and a sister: Marilyn A. Scruggs.
Pat is survived by two sons: Kim B. Lee of Bulls Gap and Roy Alan Lee of Johnson City; three grandchildren: Justin Lee of Gray, TN, Trisha and Alan Jamal Lee of Johnson City; three sisters: Linda C. Garrett and Nancy D. Kyle of Morristown, and Debbie D. Stewart of Greeneville; three brothers: Thomas L. (Oma Ruth) Scruggs of Dunkirk, IN, Danny W. (Bethany) Scruggs of Bulls Gap, and C. Melvin Scruggs of Morristown. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; ex-husband Leon Flagg; and special friends: Fred and Sheryl Lepart of Irmo, SC, Keima Bean of Bulls Gap and Maxine Widby of Elizabethton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 316 Pope Rd, Morristown. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with Elder Ventrus Norfolk officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
