Mary Frances Senter

Mary Frances Senter, age 97, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems.  She was a member of Church of God House of Prayer, under Pastor Rev. Frankie Senter.  She attended many churches after the dissolvent of that church.  She attended Bethel Baptist Church until her health stated to decline.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, S. William Chesney and Mary Garrett Chesney; her husband, George O. Senter, Sr.; one son, George O. “Beetle” Senter, Jr.; one daughter, Ella Mason; and one grandson, Kenneth Eugene Fulkerson; five brothers: James Earl Chesney, Paul Lawrence “P.L.” Chesney, John Boyd Chesney, William Leonard “L.W.” Chesney, and Mack Arthur Chesney; and three sisters: Iva Mae Bolton, Shirley Tate and Nannie Marie Chesney.

She is survived by her son: Elder Joseph T. (Edith) Senter; grandchildren: Joseph Jerome Senter of Union City, CA, Anthony Senter, Timothy Senter, Crystal (Corey) Brown of Chicopee, Mass., Evin (Amber) Lindsey, Tammy (William) Talley; great-grandchildren: Chad Thomas, Adonte “AJ” Harrell of Chicopee, Mass., Alana Lindsey, Sean “Brother” Lindsey II, Elisha Lindsey, Jordan Allen and Parrish Senter; one sister: Margaret Ballinger of Knoxville; a host of devoted nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Senter will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 8:00 PM at Dockery Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder James H. Goins, Sr. officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11 AM at Buck Hollow Cemetery in Bean Station, TN.
