Maggie Elizabeth “Snookie” Shipe Blevins, age 74, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 2, 2015 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Abraham and Margie Shipe; four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughter: Angela (Frankie) Kincaid; sons: Gregory Blevins of Morristown, Scottie (Martina) Blevins of Rogersville and Todd (Heather) Blevins of Jackson, TN; her sisters: Helen (Glen) Roberts of Morristown, Geraldine Miller of Greeneville and JoAnn (Lafayette) McDonald of Kentucky; her brother, Robert Shipe of Knoxville; her grandchildren: Starlett, Wesley, Tabitha, Justin, Latoya, Christopher, Gavin, Jordan and Asia; ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg.
