Jean Annie Grady

Jean Annie Grady, age 92, of Morristown, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her home.
Jean was born March 19, 1923 in
Morristown to the late William and Robbie Black. In her youth, she attended the Judson S. Hill
School and Morristown College. She later
served as a housekeeper under William & Barbara Hale of PFG Hale
Brothers. She was a member of Bethel
Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, babysitting and watching her
soap operas including the Young and the Restless and Bold and Beautiful.
Along with
her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Isom C. Grady; siblings:
Henry Black, Sarah Shelton, Elizabeth Ray and Pauline Leeper; and her aunt,
Mary Dyer.
She leaves
to cherish her memory her devoted friends: George Moore, Michelle Stokes,
Raymond Thompson, David Blue, James Allen Moore, Pauline Tate, Mike and Donna
Minnich; special friends: Bill, Rob, Mike and Tom Hale & Family; close
relatives: Henrietta Winn, Annie Ruth Deadrick and Wayne Winn; and a host of
nieces, nephews and friends.
The family
will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at
Dockery Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Elder Joseph T. Senter officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Rock of
Ages City Cemetery.
