Janice Treece-Senter

There will be a celebration of life for famed painter and Russellville native, Janice Treece-Senter on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Dockery Senter Funeral Home in Morristown. Janice spent most of her life making the world more beautiful with her paintings and other creations and inspiring others to find their inner-artist. Born in Russellville, TN to Robert and Maggie (Wilson) Treece, she is survived by her children Joseph J. Senter (Marcie) of CA and Crystal Senter-Brown (Corey) Brown of MA, grandson Adonte of GA, her sisters: Carolyn Atkins, Mary Anderson (Eddie Joe), Marsha Bailey and a brother Gary Treece. She is predeceased by her sister Roberta Ann. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and one great niece.

I am delighted to hear this news. Janice was an exceptional person, as well as an exceptional artist. She will be at her memorial service in spirit blushing and protesting as people offer her well-deserved but belated accolades. I met her when she and I were trying to make lemonade from the lemons life had handed us. I will never forget her.
