Howard Stanley Perry, 67, of Bean Station, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 15, 2014. Howard never met a stranger and always made people laugh.
Howard was preceded in death by his father and mother: Cilas & Mary Perry; brothers: Raymond Perry and James Perry; sisters: Ona Lee Lee and Elvie Perry.
Howard leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Christine Perry; son: Wade Perry; daughters: Darlene (Wayne) Maples, Lora Perry & Crystal (Tony) Blake; grandchildren: Mariah Maples, Peyton Blake & Hannah Blake; sisters: Gene Diels, Violet Hamblin, Elsie Purkey, and Shirley Greenlee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Amedysis Hospice & Ridgeview Terrace in Rutledge for all they did to help in his final days. Also, a special thanks to Ronnie Terry and a host of others for their hospitality.
Howard requested to be cremated and have a Celebration of Life at Still Water Ministry, located in Bean Station, 160 Rocky Springs Road. The Celebration will begin with a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 8 p.m.
To Papaw from Mariah: “I will always remember you getting me rolls of quarters so I could play the claw machine as much as I want and taking me to get ‘lobsters’ to go fishing.”
From Hannah: “Always taking me to the store & always giving me dollars and for naming me Last but Not Least.” Hannah’s words of wisdom after finding out about his passing: “Papaw can watch over us now.”
