Birdie I. Treece

With family at her side, Birdie Treece,
peacefully transitioned to her heavenly rest on March 10, 2015. Born in Poor Valley on September 30, 1940 to
the late Rev. Ernest W. and Freddie Davis.
She was a member of Henry Street Seventh Day Adventist Church in Morristown, co-hosted the “Gospel Hour” on WMTN for 25+ years and a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors left to cherish her memories include three daughters: Sandra (Eugene) Treece Marcum, Gay Renee Treece of Morristown, TN and Tonia (Edward) Treece-Carter of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren: Nigel II, Kyndra, Jchesen, Kyndal; two great-grandchildren: Uzziel and Nicholas, all of whom live in Tennessee and to which brought great joy to her later years; three brothers: Rev. Albert Lewis (Carolyn) Davis, Rev. Billy Ray (Adell) Davis, George “Bubble” (Vicky) Davis; four sisters: Flora Nance, Barbara “Tana” Treece, Cleo “Pete” (Carson) Harris, all of whom are of Morristown, and Linda Treece of Lexington, KY; a sister-in-law: Barbara Davis of Poughkeepsie, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that loved their dear “Aunt Bell” immensely.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Dockery Funeral Home. The Homegoing Celebration will begin at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor E.W. Jones. Interment will follow the service at Buck Hollow Cemetery in Bean Station.
