Arthur William "Boggie" Fanney

Arthur William "Boggie" Fanney, 76, was born on May 5, 1940 in Grainger County, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2016 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He retired from Berkline, Inc. after 40 years of service. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Elijah and Henrietta Fanney; brother Billy Ray Fanney; sisters Linda Rogers, Thelma Fanney Ballinger; and sons Marvin Fanney and Anthony W. Fanney. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Julia Ann Fanney of Morristown, TN; sons Andre' (Sharon) Fanney, Artie (Shandra) Fanney both of Morristown; daughter Pat (Wayne) Young of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Candice, Latasha, Nashona, Alex, Shante, Anthony, Bria; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Lawarence Fanney of Thorn Hill, TN, Bobby Fanney of Morristown, TN; sisters Trula Mae (Don) Deadrick, and Juanita Fanney both of Morristown, TN. He had special brother and sister-in-laws, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th at Dockery Funeral Home in Morristown, TN. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. and follow into procession to graveside services at Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg, TN.
